Encoder Options
NEMA 8 hollow shaft motors can support hollow type encoder assembly options. Encoder selection is available for feedback requirements such as position confirmation, speed monitoring, and closed-loop motion control.

Part Number Builder
Hollow shaft stepper motor part numbers are structured by motor size, motor type, step angle, motor length, lead wire configuration, shaft configuration, rated current, and customer sequence number.
Motor size. NEMA 8 / 20 mm frame.
Motor type. HS = Hollow Shaft Stepper Motor.
Step angle. 2 = 2-phase, 1.8° step angle. 4 = 2-phase, 0.9° step angle.
Motor length code. Examples include 028 for 8HS2028 and 038 for 8HS2038.
Lead wire configuration. 4 = bipolar / 4 flying leads. 6 = unipolar / 6 flying leads.
Shaft configuration. D = double shaft. S = single shaft.
Rated current code. XXX = rated current × 100 amps. Example: 0.50 A = 050.
Customer sequence number for standard or custom configuration tracking.
